Dear John Danek,
A few months ago you replied to one of my posts and I would like to ask you some more questions again. Recently I saw a book printed in Germany. The book had a very nice image quality. I took a magnifying glass and took a closer examination. To my astonishment, it had a different printing pattern than most other offset publications. It had a lot smaller dots with denser raster effect or DPI. The dots were 4 times smaller than normal 300 dpi publications, and the pattern of the dots was quite different than standard print. In standard prints, the dot placement has predictable pattern and placements of the dots. But the book that I am talking about had a printing pattern quite organic and random. I am sure that it is a different kind of offset printing technology and it must have a name or term for it. If you know about this technology, I would like to find out about it and explore my possibility to cooperate with such printing company.
Thanks very much for support.
